Isolation and identification of essential phytochemical constituents of Amorphophallus campanulatus and screening of its antimicrobial properties

This thesis book is an outcome of my research, which has been done as a part of my Master of Science curriculum. The idea of the research was to identify the underlying therapeutic benefits of common tuber vegetables that have been in our regular part of diet. In support to that idea, this book provides information on some medicinal properties that were researched from Amorphophallus campanulatus, a commonly consumed tuber in southern part of India. It deals with the plant sample screened for its antimicrobial properties, and the secondary metabolites for its potential antimicrobial substances. It narrates all the methodologies that concern with the research of attention and provides the reader a basic insight over the research process.
